Name: Moses Kangave
Sex: Male. I mention this because I know of a sister who told me her name was Moses. I had never heard of that before.
Originally From: Uganda, East Africa
Currently Residence: Beaumont, CA
Date Born Again: July 1996
Marital status: Single
Siblings: Two. I’m the oldest, I have a brother and sister.
You know something, I have always felt that my name (Moses) and being a first born child are very siginificant in regards to my purpose in life. My name has to do with delivering/leading God’s people and first borns were usually dedicated to God for service. Isn’t that great? Praise the Lord.
Hobbies: Learning new stuff, working out, reading, watching or listening to inspiring stuff, sharing the Word with colegues.
Most influencial person: My mama. I love the lady!
Favorite scripture: Over the years, I have been in situations and God has given me a scripture where I thought at the moment that that particular scripture was my favorite one until it did not relly apply to another challenge i face at another moment. I have come to understant that “All scripture is given by God and is beneficial to…” Therefore, my favorite scripture is the one I need at the moment.
Favorite color: Probably blue. May be brown.. or black. Oh…, I also love red and white and yellow and….. I’m not sure.
Key moments in my life:
1. The day I turned 16yrs young. This was a very special year because my mum shared with me that she had always prayed to God that we both be kept alive so that she can share with me some very important things. She openly shared with me things I had wondered about but had never thought of asking her.
Having grown up with a single parent ( my mum) she was all to me and I had never bothered to ask about what had happened between my mum and dad. Well, she shared with me everything and from that point on wards treated me like an adult. That is priceless
2. The day I was born again. This, I will never forget. It’s a long story but in short, I heard the word of God, it really had nothing to do with giving your life to Jesus. The sermon was about how the devil uses music to draw people to himself. I cant really tell you much of what it was about because that was not what was the catalyst of my coming to my lord.
What God used to draw me close to himself was to show me that there were teenagers that were “on fire” for him. I had never seen kids my age (I was 19yrs young at the moment. Do the math if you want to know my current age – I’m just starting to live) go after God the way these kids did. It was a students’ church meeting at school. That evening, I had an encounter with the beginning of the rest of my life. I was born into the Family! Praise be to God!
3. The time I started understanding the grace of God and that I did not need to “perform” to be loved of God. There are many christians that are still struggling with trying to get God’s approval. I had been a born again child of God for ten years but had lived under condemnation and trying to please God.
“You will never fully experience God until you understand His unconditiional love.” Quote by Moses Kangave
